More Good Fishing Coming Up
The Cairns Heavy Tackle Season may be over, but there is still plenty of good billfishing on its way.
As the southern based fleet head home they've been reporting good fishing for blue marlin still at Cape Moreton.
Next we'll be waiting to hear whether the little black marlin have shown up on the Sunshine and Gold Coasts as well as northern NSW in the lead up to the light tackle tournament season.
Check out the latest fishing reports on the Black Marlin Fishing Blog - BMFB Weekly Skeds are back now that the season is over.
If you have any fishing reports that you'd like to share, send Kelly an email or a text to 0434 520 343.
And if you are planning on fishing, the fleet are still fishing up and down the coast. Check out their websites for more information:
Australian Fishing Expeditions,
Sea Baby IV,
Last year's Gold Coast Light Tackle Masters boasted thirty boats, more than 150 anglers and 184 strikes,145 hook ups and 84 black marlin tagged! Hopefully this year's tournament can replicate those results.
Meanwhile, the Golden Lure Tournament is spread out over the week and includes lay days and Ladies/Junior fishing days and there are always plenty of great captures and releases.
And although the marlin may have moved on, the Yorkey's Knob Wahi Wahi (Wahoo and Mahi Mahi) Tournament is sure to be a cracker!
You can visit the January tournament calendar or email Kelly with all the details to add a tournament of your own.
