The Spring Shootout is a QGFA Sanctioned Event.
Competitors fishing either Light Tackle 8kg or Heavy Tackle 15kg, 24kg, 37kg, 60kg. Tag and Release for billfish while all other GFAA game fish species are eligible for capture.
The event starts with the briefing and Calcutta on Thursday September 30th from 6pm and fishing on Friday and Saturday between 7:30 – 4:00pm. The presentation will be held over brunch on Sunday from 9am -12noon. The tournament will be held at the Kawana Waters Hotel with a raft up of boats on the mooring. Boats are permitted to stay out on Friday night but must return back to port on Saturday night.
