Well it's taken a while - perhaps we've all been carried away by the Christmas sprit - but here is the first of the 2006 albums. I am still slowly sifting my way through the photos so expect more to come.

Merry Christmas to you all. Hope to see you out on the water soon!

Heading South

Both Reel Chase and Kekoa are heading south and encountering some (yet again) pretty awful weather. While Reel Chase should be reaching the Gold Coast by some time tomorrow, Kekoa, who is a day behind but running for the trip, is hoping to reach the Sunshine Coast tonight or tomorrow AM.

I'm moving house this week and will soon join the gang on the Gold Coast. Without internet access until then I'll update when I get there. Hope Capt. Jim and Capt. Luke are getting their share of rest on the trips south!

The fishing kept the team on board Kekoa at Flora Reef for another day and kept them pretty busy as well. In all three marlin were released, the biggest at 950lbs as well as half a dozen yellow fin tuna, biggest 100lbs, and a few wahoo. The team were fishing with Kiwi boat Ultimate Lady who ended Thursday with a marlin at about 800lbs and Friday with another at 900lbs. Capt. Luke will be continuing on to Flinders Reef today.

Meanwhile Reel Chase is in Townsville until Monday when she heads home to the Gold Coast.
